I started doing stand up comedy as a 20 year old Sophomore in college. My friends thought I was funny, so I went to the Des Moines, IA, Funny Bone Comedy Club open mic night, and gave it a shot. I was hooked, and soon quit college, and moved to Chicago, in hopes of becoming a full time comic. In the fall of 2003, the dream became a reality, and I was able to quit my job as a leasing agent, and start touring the road full time as a road comic. I've had some amazing, and unusual experiences working the road, and I've been able to travel to 40 different states during that time. In October, 2011, my wife and I welcomed our first child into the world, and life has taken yet another crazy turn. Her name is Emma, and she is the light of my life! My wife works as a nurse practitioner, and since I haven't made the big time just yet, she works during the week, and I stay home with Emma. I'm now a comedian/stay-at-home dad, or as I like to call it, a trophy husband! This blog is all about my adventures as a comedian, as a dad, and as a member of this crazy world. Enjoy!
